Yesterday there was a bug wherein they didn't take daylight savings into account, so if you tried to enter a trade after 3pm eastern, the system thought it was between 4 and 5pm and you needed full margin (e.g. $11k per ES contract). I'm coming from stocks and just starting to get familiar with futures and margin. If I have 20k USD in my account and long 1 ES contract intraday and it tanks 100 points (100 points * 50 USD = 50k USD) and I sell before close, what will happen?
