Since you have the 460 engine in your truck, it is most likely the full-float 10.25", as opposed to the light-duty F250's that got the semi-float version. The axle is capable of carrying 6,250 lbs with single rear wheels, according to the manufacturer of the axle (Visteon).

The duallies have the same width rear axle housing as the single wheel pickup. A cab and chassis axle housing is between 2" & 3" narrower than a pickup. Even got to keep the d80. Now, the 2008 front axle conversion and the cool overs and four link front and rear... That I ran into a huge number of issues...I just bought a 1993 350 Dually. I was looking for a none dually but could not pass this one up, 103,000 original km's. How do a convert the rear end to single, the finders come off. Also, I would like to replace the captain seats with a bench seat and club cab with a bench if that is possible. Any help would be great, new to the whole truck thing.

same truck, my truck is a 1996 ram 2500 12v cummins. used the hub adapters off a 96 for the front, had to mill out the adapters on the inside about 1/8th to get them to set flush on the hubs. swapped the entire rear axle for a dual rear wheel. got 7 16" wheels from the same 1996 ram 3500. bleed brakes and drive on.If you choose the setup with single wheels on a dually axle, you will need some 4"-6" flares or extensions of some sort added to the SRW bed sides, and then you wanna convert the front wheels to singles setup as well. We had one brush truck that was a dually and it was like a pig on skates, it spent alot of time being pulled out of the mud.All parts that we manufacture or carry have a 1 year warranty from the date of purchase. nightcrawlers. assuming you have a full width dually with flairs,and not a cab and chassis,you can simply remove the flairs and slap on your single wheels. youll also have to relocate any lights or gas filler that is mounted to the dually flair. however,your hubs will stick out noticibally further past the wheel than they will on a SRW truck ...
