Just pop the pin out with a punch, tilt and slide the magwell on and replace the pin. Done. Here is a picture of it installed. Fits great, I recommend it. Not a major thing functionally but something that should NOT be visible on a $4,300 pistol. Trigger pull and reset are exactly what one comes to expect from STI/Staccato..short and crisp with no take-up. It came with (3) extra springs, color-coded and labeled “light loads”, “standard”, and “hot loads”.Absolutely no need to remove grip. It is just the one MSH pin that holds it in place. As stated above the front of the magwell rests on a ledge. Remove pin, remove magwell, insert new pin, finished. It shouldn’t take more than 5 minutes your first time. A minute or less once you get the hang of it.

The XC is definitely better than the P but probably not $1800 better. All 3 are extremely soft shooting compared to regular 9mm pistols. I want to carry my XC but it's just too big. The P and XC are about the same size. Really liked the size and feel of the C2 so I am going to look for a DVC Carry.
