One thing is for sure it sounded better than the Gpro X wired headset I tried once but sent back but I just never tried the wireless version. The x 2 also has bluetooth which is a bonus I guess but not a requirement. There are better options with better mics. Can’t speak on the g pro x but I love my x 2. Love my g pro x wireless.Also make sure your audio in game is on one of the boost settings, those are best for headsets. I use boost high. Yeah I have bootst high set. I can hear the footsteps decent it's just that it's only when they are right on me because all the other sounds are so loud. For me personally, the mids and treble look fine but I would definitely try my best to flatten out the lower mids and upper bass a bit, that hump can sound extremely annoying in some cases because it’ll make low background instruments sound much louder than intended.
i currently use boost high ingame but i feel like its not clear enough and i cant hear the footsteps around me (especially when theres kiillstreaks going off ) , i usually turn off surround sound on the G hub cause it sort of dampens/bass boosts everything when im watching youtube etc so ive never tried it in game , also i havent messed around with any of the other sound settings on the g hub.
