I honestly think even med school interviews being remote is fine in comparison, but residency is a whole other game. The culture just matters so much more. That being said, it cost a TON in time and money. We need to bring it back in some shape or form with more available AAMC sponsored scholarships for those who can’t afford it.Check out the spreadsheet link at the top of the post. ERAS is now open, so for the other neurotic students out there, I'm compiling what's available through a very limited search of the subreddit for what has been put out there so far. Our IM colleagues are baffled at the amount of autonomy and critical care knowledge anesthesiologists have. FYI, our program has 5 pediatric attendings, 1 surgery resident, and 2 internal medicine residents that switched over to anesthesiology. They never looked back. Also we have more flexibility.Rheumatology median salary coming out of fellowship right now is $240k. That’s including academic positions that pay less. Most advertised jobs are 4-4.5 days of work, around 8-4 or roughly that same amount of hours.
