Blasted Lands were once populated by centaurs. ( from wowwiki) Remnants from the Burning Legion has taken refuge at the Tainted Scar. Theres a Lost One called Kum'isha the Collector in the middle of the Blasted Lands that gives 2 quests. Two Bloodmages near the enterance of the zone gives you 5 quests.

I'm getting really frustrated, i talk to the npc in lower portal room of orgrimmar. he used to port me to blasted lands, in front of the portal, but now he gets me to Hellfire Peninsula. And for some reason or other, dark portal won't work the other way around, so i'm stuck in outland. There's a portal to the Blasted Lands in Orgrimmar located /way 38.31 86.13. Southern part of the Valley of Spirits. Take the steps along the rock wall to the left, then find your way to the upper hut. To get there, I had to go through The Valley of Wisdom, past Thrall's HQ. Once there, the quest isn't that far from where it takes you.

Getting into the Blasted Lands is a piece of cake. If you can get through the Swamp of Sorrows (you do need to be high enough lvl for that), you can walk straight through Deadwind Pass without aggro. There isn't anything in there except some high lvl birds that won't aggro if you don't try to go anywhere but the main road toward Swamp of Sorrows.
