New User. Apr 5, 2023. #1. Hello. My 71 3000 is my first tractor. I am having troubles getting the plow to penetrate the soil enough to do much of anything. I am using draft control and am able to lower the plow down, but not enough to plow more than 2-3 inches deep at most.Location. TX. Dec 14, 2023. #4. Sounds like the control valve is out of adjustment and probably sticking. There are two adjustment to make, one with the lever down in draft control position and another with the lever up in position control. In draft mode the lift should only raise during the last two inches of travel on the control lever. You can move the quadrant backward or forward to adjust this.
