I have no idea how to give him items. There's no prompt on my screen and I can't figure out how to drop items. Open your inventory, pick an item, select the Leave option. Do not pick discard, do not quit game/die before picking up the item you leave, and only drop one of an item at a time. Select the item and then choose to Leave it.
