To start, I wanted to read a new book that would be truly engrossing. So many people cited Lonesome Dove as their favorite book ever, and I had read like 30 pages a few months ago but didn't continue.I have wanted to read the book for a while but couldn't find the time or discipline so I figured I would watch the miniseries.Still, Lonesome Dove never ceases to impress me. The whole cast is superb, and Robert Duvall gives one of the best performances of his career. The characters and story are very memorable.
