I never had issues connecting to the internet via wifi. My router and modem are 5 feet from the Roku device. In my Asus router application, I have the 2.4ghz and 5 GHz bandwidth split into 2 separate connections. When I go to set up the connection on the Roku device I see only the 2.4ghz bandwidth being recognized by the Roku.
