It's a basic 1911 that works well as is. The slide is forged and the frame is investment casted, (which is different from pot casting) and is actually quite strong. It's just cheaper to manufacture it that way vs forging and possibly stronger than some of the old steel they used to use on 1911s back in the day. 2.
