Ryze is a simbol of battlemage, ap dps. Of course, Ryze has been used as a supporter on top lane with tank itmes in 2013 ~ 2014. However, the other whole history of Ryze was a simbol of late game ap dps. Unlike Cassiopea and Azir, the other ap dps mages, Ryze does not have to worry about aiming. The whole proof for this is his W, rune prison.In my opinion, this iteration's low winrate is because of the difficult execution. Ryze used to be a durable battlemage with short range. They've taken out the durability and replaced it with extra damage. However, the kit is structured as though defensive tools were present. Rengar JGL OTP.beacuse ryze has to stand still to use e-w you usually cant react to his q3 with it. you should try practising dodging his q3 since after that you can pretty easily e-w and run away. you should also try to just push and roam, you wont be killing him in lane. also get boneplating, go normal paherush build but with boneplating and overgrowth/tenacity
