Here is a 1969 ad from Crosman mentioning the OSS. It does not specifically state what the model was. They even joke about the lethality of the airgun questioning if they were taking out chickens. A quick search of "Crosman OSS" shows a model 101 modified to use a .22 cal ball vs a pellet. Another mentions Model 102.

The serial number starts with a 6 and ends with a 5 with space between the numbers with two struck lines between the numbers. Interesting, but maybe not in a good way. Is that the remnant of another number under the 6? It appears to me to be a spot of original finish. See new enlarged picture.
