You can drop a full-semester course any time until the midpoint of the term (see Academic Deadlines for specific dates) unless: The drop would cause you to carry fewer than 12 hours. You will need permission to underload before dropping the course. You are trying to drop your last course – i.e., dropping to 0 hours for the semester.
There are a few different options if you really don’t want to drop a class. Credit/No Credit Course. Along with the drop deadline, October 18th is also the Credit/No Credit deadline. Denoting a course as Credit/No Credit means that as long as you get a C- or higher in the class, you pass.The POT designations are shown in the Course Explorer Class Schedule for each specific class section. Any class without a POT listed is considered a nonstandard course and are not found on this chart. Drop deadlines for all courses including nonstandard can be found on the Refund Schedule for Summer 2024.The minimum course load required for full-time status is 12 hours. The student registration system will not automatically block you from initiating a drop action that may bring you below the required full-time status.
