I’ve been playing a Breedlove Solo Jumbo fretless exclusively for the past two years, after a heart-related issue made it impossible for me to continue to play DB any longer. I was drawn to acoustic bass guitar as it allowed for acoustic expressiveness that can’t be found with electric bass.

The pickups/bass overall sounds awesome. Apparently they are custom spec'd Seymour Duncans. Sounds like a P bass but bit more focused (exactly like how JMJ described it). The bass came with a good quality padded Fender gig bag and not some cheap thin garbage lol. Totally usable for pro gigging.
Nov 8, 2020. My Smoked Almond Epiphone Embassy arrived. Initial thoughts: super comfy and slick neck, strange since it's fixed and the (very cool) uniform color flows across the whole instrument- thus the neck is painted and paint-smooth accordingly. Tone is absolutely incredible- a whole new tonal category different from the P-J-Stingray array ...Average age here seems to be about 14, which is fine, but 10 threads a day asking questions covered in the FAQ gets tedious. On the one hand, I like TB because there are some working bass players on there, which is what I am. But so many of them seem to be clueless, at an age and experience level where it's inexcusable.

He mainly used Mesa, but some times used Ampeg. In the early tears (Spastik Children I guess) he used a Randall amp. The only Ampeg thing that I could find that he used was a cabinet. I'm a big fan of my fretted SR600 in ash, and was thinking of adding the fretless to my arsenal. I am an experienced fretless player, but am without one at the present.The Zoom MS-60B has either more DSP power or better algorithms as far as I can tell. Otherwise I managed to dial in most of my tones. The foot switch makes it super practical, especially for looping. Let me know if you have any questions about the Prime P1 and the foot switch.
