At least with my area, it's not required to have WALGREENS experience but you do at least have to have a year of tech experience from somewhere. However my area does prefer to keep it in company and then hire an outside tech for normal tech duty

RXOM here too. I definitely do more of the technician job than the RXOM job. I do rotate with my technicians. I answer phone calls, give vaccines, fill, type almost all prescriptions since most of my technicians don’t or slow to type, and do some other technician jobs.
