Start the bike and measure the voltage on across the same white wires and it should be 54V or more (250v scale).

Removed the charcoal filter, valve and vacuum line. Had alread installed the fresh air block off plates to prevent backfiring. Run vent tube from under tank down to bottom of bike with other hose and no more problem.

A friend (Mercedes tech) and I diagnosed coils as the issue, no voltage at plug wires. I let it sit over the winter as Chicago winters can get darn cold.

Try to start it and it when it turns over the oil light goes off and the fi light stays solid.
