I got an rx5 last year new, but again because i knew i was going to be able to sell it for a higher dollar amount used than any other.

While this isn't a big factor I like the looks of the Hoyt bows better than Mathews. I get a clean pass-through everytime. I found it used at a dealer and got a really good deal at $500 with brand new limbs. One could easily argue they have less hand shock as well, depending on the model. Hoyt's quality is hard to beat (Bear isn't bad) and they are good shooting bows.Mathews, Hoyt, PSE, Elite, and Bowtech are (in that order IMO) the top brands for flagship bows right now. Nov 20, 2022 · I would have said Hoyt. Then they just dropped the Z1S Speed Bow for this year. So Mathews did worse for sure. Hoyt RX7 Ultra 80lb limbs, Epsilon Rest, Axcel Landslyde Picatinny with Ultraview UV3XL Scope, Hoyt 1 piece quiver, Hoyt Stabilizers, Stan Perfex Thumb.

Honestly gotta shoot them both one will just feel better to you. If you can't shoot both based on the specs the Mathews is a shorter ata at 34ish and the Hoyt is 36ish. The Hoyt in theory should be more forgiving because it is longer. The Mathews will be lighter and slightly faster shooting. The cam feel you have to pull to feel it.

I'm not anti-PSE or Mathews/Prime/Bowtech. They make good bows as well I just prefer the feel of Hoyt and Elite Target bows. Tunability is hands down better with the Elite. Performance is better with the Hoyt. Both are accurate, both hold well, both are very well built. Mathews has much better long term customer service, if you need parts in the future.The Elites seem to have a higher resale than Mathews and sell quicker used (good or bad depending on if you are a buyer or seller).
