It seems to fix itself when I have another game open in the background or some other GPU intensive application, which is strange.
Re-install your video card drivers and/or restart laptop. If your laptop have a discrete GPU try to change the GPU setting for geometry dash from discrete GPU to the integrated GPU. You can do that in the graphic settings. I got mine fixed by doing that.
