Hes a monster. They're total opposites. Bear is a tank, wolf is fragile damage. Bear has more hp, more armor, can't be interrupted, just the better option. If you prefer animals over thralls you would probably look into greater sabertooth, tigers, and rocknose, they're probably the best.
