Waiting for the results have been a cycle of positive self-talk and anxiety-ridden self-doubt. To give you some perspective, I'm an IMG who studied for roughly 4 months.No, 70% is a decently safe pass, 60% is cutting it close. Besides doing as many UWorld questions as possible I also recommend first aid. If your issue is content gaps, first aid and anking are great. If your issue is test taking, do Uworld. Also, Pathoma chapters 1-3 are crucial. Technically, low 60s is the passing score. 5th attempt score on June 24th = 198 (with a goal of 200 because I just wanted to pass and move on to strategize for step 1 prep). STEP-PREP and STEP 1 actual: NBME 24 on Aug 24th, score = 226. Free 120 at Prometric on Sept 10th, score = 70% correct. NBME 18 on Sept 18th [6 days out], score = 220.

So if a program sees a 235 in 2019 and 230 from 2017, they should have the same judgement on that student, if they are smart. Uworld is harder than the actual test and if you can master uworld it will make the test seem very doable. I was scoring consistent 70's on my random 40 uworld blocks with a 73% overall average. You need to manually count your incorrects if you want to use the score converter. I was confused over the same thing and the guidance I got was to trust the NBME % chance of passing.an average score of 60% on every block you do...there will be some fluctuation as some blocks you will score lower but those are the ones you need to review the most.
