Tomahawk cannot be thrown far enough for Sharpshooter 4. I literally just did this about a month ago and now I can't do it again. I'm doing the trick at hanging dog ranch and the axe just won't go far enough. I'm aiming well over their head in dead eye, using the improved weapon and it just will not cover the distance. This is actually ridiculous.

Read this post so headed to one of the forts and disarmed the soldiers. So confirmed, only really works on soldiers etc, not on bandits or civilians. One tip, use the Litchfield repeater and craft 14 split repeater rounds. Load them into the gun and save. This prevents auto reload and gives you 14 attempts at disarming.
