According to my owners manual for my RZR and I suspect the full size rangers are the same, When the AWD is turned on by the switch it only engages when the rear wheels slip. I have a 2007 ranger 700 that has developed a starting problem. The no start happens intermittently whether the engine or air temperature is hot or cold. I feel that the problem is fuel pump related. When it won't start, I cannot hear the fuel pump pressuring up when the key is turned on.

After 4 months and 122 miles It had a catastrophic primary clutch failure that left me stranded. I took it back to the dealer and they told me that the primary clutch bolt backed out and wiped out the primary clutch and belt.

Manual says "The louver temperature should be approx 15 degrees F (9 C) lower than ambient temp, depending on humidity in the air."
