Something breaks you have to buy from the dealership. I rarely see anything for benelli cheap. Those crazy Italians went and made a polymer receiver shotgun with a polymer pump and stock. It looks ugly, but gosh dang, that action is smooth. Crazy smooth, and it glides rearward. That action just glides rearwards and makes fast follow-up shots easy.

The only one that I still have at home is the Benelli Supernova. I suggest holding all three if you can and shooting them. If you want a 28 inch barrel you want to consider the Mossberg 500, not the 590. The 590 only has up to 20 inch barrels: it's a dedicated tactical platform. I think they're better built than either the Remington or Mossberg. There are better stock options (pistol grip or ComforTech) on the SuperNova than the Nova (where the receiver and stock are one piece). You should be able to find a SuperNova for roughly $450. Thanks. I'm thinking since the Mossberg 590 has gone through mil-spec testing, and passed, that my brother might want it over the Benelli. The other pros I can think of with the Mossberg is that it has a bayonet lug and larger tube capacity.
