I have an intermitted AC clutch issue. My compressor engages, but in hot weather it turns off. After reading numerous posts on the interwebs, I theorize that that the air gap on the clutch is too large. Heat is causing expansion, which makes gap too large for electromagnetic clutch to engage.Once that is out there is a cover over the expansion valve that has about 10 screws holding it in. Remove that cover and then unbolt the expansion valve and line assembly coming from under the hood.
